Tropical Zodiac Dates

Readings on this site use the sun sign in the tropical zodiac. They are not a full natal chart. A natal chart needs a birth time and a birthplace, which this site does not collect or calculate. Astrology here is entertainment and interpretive tradition, not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Astrology Result uses the conventional tropical date ranges printed in many American daily horoscopes. The table is a civil convenience. It is not an ephemeris. We do not compute the Sun’s longitude, and we do not adjust the boundary for your time zone. If you need the exact ingress, you need software or an astrologer who does that work. This page will not pretend we did it.

The ranges are: Capricorn, December 22 through January 19; Aquarius, January 20 through February 18; Pisces, February 19 through March 20; Aries, March 21 through April 19; Taurus, April 20 through May 20; Gemini, May 21 through June 20; Cancer, June 21 through July 22; Leo, July 23 through August 22; Virgo, August 23 through September 22; Libra, September 23 through October 22; Scorpio, October 23 through November 21; Sagittarius, November 22 through December 21.

Capricorn crosses the civil new year. A January 10 birthday is Capricorn in this system, not Aquarius. Pisces includes February 29 in a leap year, because February 29 sits between February 19 and March 20. The date tool accepts February 29 as a valid month-and-day pair for that reason.

Boundary mornings are the weak point of any newspaper table. March 20 is Pisces here. March 21 is Aries. April 19 is Aries. April 20 is Taurus. The same pattern holds at every published edge. If you were born on one of those dates, the Sun may have been in the neighboring sign for part of the world that day. We still return one label, because that is what this method can honestly do.

This site does not offer an ascendant, a Moon sign, or a “cusp personality” blend. Those claims would require a time, a place, and a calculation we do not run. You may read two neighboring sign profiles for literary context. You should not treat a blended identity as something this tool computed.

Use the date tool on the home page or on the date page to see which sun-sign label the table returns. Then open that sign’s daily horoscope, weekly horoscope, or profile. All of it is entertainment and interpretive tradition. None of it is a natal chart.
